Urbino is a small hill town in the Marche filled with design and architectural influences from Renaissance artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Luciano Laurana, and Francesco di Giorgio Martini that have been preserved since the 16th Century. While not widely visited by tourists, Urbino still boasts beautiful attractions such as the Duomo, the Botanical Garden, Raphael's House, and the impressive Ducal Palace which houses the Marche National Gallery. Visitors to the gallery will see a collection of Renaissance paintings that is considered one of the most important in the world.
