Cunard Dining Information

To sail with Cunard is like taking a step back in time to the golden age of luxury ocean liners. Make a sweeping entrance all dressed up in your finery. Linger over cocktails in the bar before sitting down to one of Cunard's culinary rituals - from a simple spa lunch on deck or cream cakes and Darjeeling at tea time, to casual meals in the Lido, or the tantalizing gourmet fare in one of the formal restaurants.

Main Dining Room Policies: Cunard guests dine in different dining rooms according to their cabin types.

Guests staying in most cabins are assigned to one of two seatings in the main dining room for their evening meal, early or late. The early and late seating times can vary by ship or itinerary, but are usually at around 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively. Dinner seating preferences may be requested at the time of booking, but are not guaranteed.

Guests staying in suite cabins may dine in their assigned dining room any time between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Dress Code: Evenings will be split into 2 different dress codes. You will be notified of the evening's dress code in your Daily Programme. Formal night attire consists of an evening or cocktail dress or smart trouser suit for ladies. A tuxedo, dinner jacket or dark suit with appropriate neck wear for men or you may wear formal national dress and military uniform. Informal evenings would consist of a required jacket and optional tie for gentlemen, whilst ladies should wear cocktail dresses, stylish separates or equivalent. No jeans or shorts.

After 6pm, shorts and blue or worn denim (for men and women) and sandals and sleeveless tops (for men) are not considered appropriate anywhere within the ship. Guests wishing to dress more casually are welcome to dine in the Kings Court or Lido buffet and relax in the Winter Garden or Garden Lounge bar, but should not use the other areas of the ship, including the Alternative Dining Restaurants.

Beverage Policy: All beverages except tea and water are at an additional cost. Juice and coffee is included with breakfast.

Special Requests: All ships can cater for the following diets: vegetarian, pescetarian fish, low/no fat, low salt/no salt, lactose intolerant/dairy free, gluten/wheat free/celiac, low cholesterol, diabetic, kosher (dinner only), and vegan. Speak with your Vacations To Go agent at least 6 months prior to sailing to make arrangements.

All dining rooms onboard Cunard ships are smoke-free.
